In her role as Director of Mattawa-Bonfield Economic development, Donna is responsible for facilitating community and economic development planning and initiatives; identifying and fostering community economic development opportunities; securing funding for economic development activities and programs; assisting local organizations,
businesses and individuals with establishing economic development plans and projects; liaising with a variety of funding bodies and promoting the community in order to expand economic development opportunities in the Mattawa-Bonfield region.

In 2017-19 Donna oversaw the revitalization of operations id the Voyageur Multi-Use Trail system, in partnership with the OFATV, OF4WDE and the Ontario Trails. She will be talking about this process, tips and tools and the results of having a better governance operation with the support of clubs.

The Mattawa-Bonfield Economic Development Corporation (MBEDC), an incorporated not for profit organization, under the leadership of its five-member municipalities’ Mayors is responsible for economic development in the region. This region is also known as Mattawa Voyageur Country encompasses the municipalities of Bonfield, Calvin, Papineau-Cameron, Mattawa, and Mattawan.
